We are honoured to welcome the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis to our Church on Tuesday the 17th of September 2024. The Primary relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis contains a piece of the heart Carlo Acutis and has touched the lives of many during previous relic visits here to Ireland. The relic will make it’s way down the River Liffey, arriving at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, City Quay Parish (weather permitting).

The relic will first stop in Dublin on the 10th-11th of September and pay a visit to St. Patrick’s Church in Corduff (including an All night vigil). From there the relic will be brought to St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Portlaoise on the 12th-13th of September and then to St. Mary’s Church in Navan on the 15th-16th of September.
Please feel free to take time to view and pray at our new shrine to Blessed Carlo on the top right-hand side of the Church.
The image was blessed beside his remains in Assisi.
A Saint helps us all realise that our human condition does not necessarily limit us. We too can come to know God in amazing ways.

Here is a piece that I wrote for RTÉ Radio’s A Word in Edgeways regarding Saints and their role in our lives. Hopefully this will help us understand that significance of Blessed Carlo’s beatification.
